Internet Desk: Gautam Gambhir led Kolkata Knight Riders is performing brilliantly in the 10th edition of the Indian Premier League . They are occupying the second spot in the points table behind league leaders Mumbai Indians with a match in hand. In the latest episode of Knight Club, the KKR left-hander was asked who is the best captain he has played under to which he responded in vintage Gambhir fashion stating that A captain is as good as his team and he has no personal favourites. However, he was high praise for M.S.Dhoni as a leader especially when he was the Indian Team Captain.

The Delhi-born batsman has been amongst the finest players India has produced especially in the shorter formats. He has always been amongst captains’ favourites no matter whoever was at the helm. The veteran opener has played under the leadership of the likes of Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli in his career. It would be quite difficult for Gambhir to pick the best from these cricketers.

Gambhir opted to pick MS Dhoni as the best captain he played under during in his illustrious career. In an interactive session , Gambhir stated, “I have played under Sourav, Rahul, MS and Viru, I somehow felt that I enjoyed a lot under MS.” Gambhir was a part of the India’s triumphant squad, led by Dhoni, during the ICC World Twenty20 (WT20) 2007 and ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. He played match winning knocks in both the finals by notching up impressive fifties.
