India’s tour to West Indies itinerary announced

Internet Desk: India will play a four-Test series against West indies after their limited-overs series against Zimbabwe. The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) and WICB (West Indies Cricket Board) have confirmed the schedule of India’s tour to Caribbean Islands in the month of July-August-2016.

The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) have announced the Test series for the four-match series against India, which will begin from July 21. The first Test will be played  at Antigua between July 21-25. The second Test will then be played in Jamaica, beginning from July 30. The action then shifts to St. Lucia for the third Test, which will begin from August 9. The fourth and final Test will take place at Trinidad from August 18. India had earlier in May announced their squad for the tour of the Caribbean.

India will be going to West Indies after a three-match One-Day international (ODI) series and also a three-match T20 International (T20I) series against Zimbabwe. MS Dhoni will lead a young Indian side in that tour, which consists of youngsters like Yuzvendra Chahal, KL Rahul to name a few.

West Indies on the other hand will play a triangular series against South Africa and world champions Australia at home. West Indies recently lifted the T20 World Cup 2016 in India, which was their second triumph in the competition. West Indies are going through a downward slump in the longest format and will look to redeem themselves in the longest format. They are however yet to name their squad for the Test series.
