Xtra Time Web Desk : The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) on Monday made a formal request to the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) for allowing spectators for Team India’s consecutive 2nd and 3rd T20Is against West Indies scheduled to be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Earlier, it was announced that the first T20I would be played behind closed doors, with BCCI President Sourav Ganguly strictly stating about not allowing “spectators” in a PTI interview.

“The BCCI has allowed only upper tier and hospitality boxes for sponsors and representatives for the first match. CAB will intimate all stakeholders once it receives feedback from the board,” said CAB in a statement.

The Men in Blue under the leadership of their new skipper Rohit Sharma will look to defeat their opponents in the upcoming 3 match T20I rubber starting from February 16, after sealing a 3-0 clean sweep over them in the recently concluded ODI series.
