Xtra Time Web Desk: Ace India middle order batsman Cheteshwar Pujara on Saturday described the delivery from Pat Cummins which got him dismissed on the third day of SCG test as an ‘unplayable delivery’. Cummins bowled an absolute gem which got rid of the dependable Indian batsman.

Pujara scored the slowest fifty of his test career taking 173 balls. He was dismissed by the Aussie speedster as soon as he reached his half century. It was a delivery that was just outside the off-stump and forced the batsman to edge behind to Tim Paine who took an easy catch behind the wicket.

“The ball which I got (from Cummins) was one of the best balls of this series. I felt I couldn’t have done anything better, even if I was batting on 100 or double hundred, I don’t think I could have survived that ball which kicked from back of the length.

“I had to play that ball. There was extra bounce. So it was just one ball which was really good and unfortunately I couldn’t get away from that. You have to accept it. That delivery could have got any other batter.” said Cheteshwar Pujara while speaking to the media after the match.

Pujara has now been dismissed by Cummins four out of the five times in this series.

“I have got out against him four times but some of them were really good balls, we need to respect that, overall I am confident about my batting. I would rather focus on the things I need to as a batsman rather than put too much pressure on him getting me out. The way I was batting today, I was really confident,” Pujara added.
