India Tour of England: Rishabh Pant joins rest of the squad in Durham after completing quarantine

Xtra Time Web Desk: Great news for Indian team as wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has joined the rest of the squad in Durham on Thursday. Pant was in isolation after being tested positive for COVID-19 during the break after the World Test Championship. He has been isolating at a relative’s home in London. He has now recovered fully and has joined the squad.

Pant has already missed the ongoing three day practice match against Select County XI team. But according to the sources in the team if declared fit, he will surely play the 2nd practice game. The Indian team will play an intra squad match from July 28 at the same venue. It will be important for the dashing wicket keeper batsman to have some match practice heading into the first test against England which starts at Nottingham from August 4.

Meanwhile Indian team throw down specialist Dayanand Garani is yet to recover and is still isolating in London. Reserve player Abhimanyu Easwaran, Wriddhiman Saha and bowling coach Bharat Arun — have also been in isolation as Garani’s close contacts. It is learnt that the quarantine period for  Abhimanyu Easwaran, Wriddhiman Saha and bowling coach Bharat Arun will end on 24th July. All three have tested negative repeatedly.
