Xtra Time Web Desk: The Australian men’s team will wear a unique jersey during the upcoming T20I series against India. The specially designed indigenous jersey is a tribute to the First Nations people. Cricket Australia on Wednesday unveiled the jersey which will be worn by Aaron Finch and his men as they take on India in the T20I series. Asics, the official kit sponsor of Cricket Australia, has got the jerseys designed by two Indigenous women, Aunty Fiona Clarke and Courtney Hagen, who have been integral to the sport’s recent efforts to better recognize and encourage the involvement of Indigenous Australians in cricket.

The Australian women’s side was the first to wear an Indigenous shirt of their own in a match against England earlier this year and have been proactive in addressing issues of race in their sport.
