IND vs NZ: Rahane and test players to undergo camp in Mumbai from Monday ahead of test series

Xtra Time Web Desk: Ajinkya Rahane and the test specialists will assemble in Mumbai on Sunday ahead of the test series against New Zealand which starts in Kanpur from November 25. The test specialists will undergo a four-day camp in Mumbai from Monday. The camp is likely to take place at the Bandra Kurla complex.

Ajinkya Rahane, Mayank Agarwal, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Prasidh Krishna, Umesh Yadav, Wriddhiman Saha, KS Bharat and Jayant Yadav are expected to be part of the camp.

Rahane will lead the Indian test team in the absence of Virat Kohli as he had opted out of the first test. Kohli will be back leading the side from second test in Mumbai from December 3. Cheteshwar Pujara has been named as the vice-captain for the first test.

Several players like Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami has been given a break to recharge themselves ahead of the tough tour to South Africa. India will play three test matches against the Proteas.

The India-New Zealand series begins on Wednesday with the three match T20I series. The first T20I will be played at the Swai Maan Singh stadium in Jaipur.
