Internet Desk: With the series tied till now at this junction, India put up a challenging target after batting first in the third and the final ODI against New Zealand at Green Park, Kanpur. Two splendid centuries from opener Rohit Sharma and skipper Virat Kohli put the Men in Blue in the commanding position in the final match as India ended their innings on 337-6 after the end of the allotted 50 overs.

Despite the fact that Shikhar Dhawan left early on 14 as India were down to 29-1. But then a brilliant performance from Sharma and Kohli took India to a brilliant position in the game. Rohit missed the 150 run mark after he fell short by 3 runs. Rohit’s quick firing 147 consisted of 18 boundaries and 2 huge sixes. As for Kohli, the skipper registered his 32nd ODI century. Kohli’s innings of 113 had 9 fours and a lone sixer.

The middle order didn’t bother to score much as Hardik Pandya scored 8, MS Dhoni 25 and Kedar Jadhav scored 18 while Dinesh Karthik remained not out on 4.

As for the kiwis, they were hammered left and right by Kohli-Rohit duo but managed to scalp 6 wickets in the game. Tim Southee, Adam Milne and Mitchell Santner bagged 2 wickets apiece.
