Internet Desk: Indian captain Virat Kohli is on the verge of equalling MS Dhoni’s record of most consecutive wins in ODI cricket, if the men in blue win the 3rdODI against Australia at Indore. Dhoni holds the record of leading the country to most consecutive wins (9) in ODI’s. He achieved the feat during February 2008 to January 2009.

Under Virat, the Men in Blue have not lost an ODI since losing against the Caribbeans in July at North Sound in Antigua. The Indian team has won all the ODI’s they played after that loss. The Men in Blue apart from winning the fifth ODI against the Caribbean in Jamaica, also

registered 5-0 series whitewash in Sri Lanka. Virat and his boys have also recorded back to back wins in the first two ODI’s.

The Virat Kohli-led Indian cricket team is leading the series 2-0 having won the first two ODIs played at Chennai and Kolkata. If they win the third match on Sunday at the Holkar Stadium in Indore, the 28-year-old Indian captain will match the record set by his predecessor.

India have so far played 37 ODIs under the captaincy of Kohli, and have won 29 of those games. India have been on a roll over the last few months, having not lost a single game since their tour of Sri Lanka.
