ICC WTC Points Table: What does Rohit Sharma and his boys need to do to qualify for WTC Finals?

Xtra Time Web Desk: Following the defeat against England in the rescheduled fifth test at Edgbaston, Rohit Sharma and his boys need to win the series at home against Australia followed by the two-test series against Bangladesh.

The loss against England was India’s fourth loss in the current WTC cycle. Before the Test, India had a win percentage of 58.33 in third place. The percentage has dipped to 52.38 after the recent loss at Edgbaston. With the loss, India also dropped to 4th below Pakistan in the latest WTC standings. The top two slots are currently occupied by South Africa and Australia, who have a 70 precenttwin percentage of 70 plus.

The result of the Australia series could eventually decide India’s fate in the final standings as well.

India currently has 52.08 percentage points while Australia sit at the top with 75. India plays two Test matches against Bangladesh and 4 Tests against Australia

If India can thrash Australia 4-0 or win the series 3-1, then hey will have a chance of reaching the final
