ICC unveils design of the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York | T20 World Cup 2024

Xtra Time Web Desk: International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the photos of New York’s Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, which is set to host the India versus Pakistan clash at the T20 World Cup on June 9. The stadium’s construction is underway and is expected to be completed in three months, accommodating 34,000 cricket fans. The same modular designs which are being used by Populous & Arena Americas for the F1 Las Vegas race are being sent to New York for the construction of the cricket venue.

Notably, the stadium will feature a drop-in pitch like the ones found in renowned grounds like Adelaide Oval in Australia and Eden Park in New Zealand. According to the ICC, the pitch for the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium is being curated in Florida. The anticipation is high for another thrilling India vs. Pakistan clash, with the T20 World Cup providing a platform for this iconic rivalry on the international stage.

The T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the USA will kick off with a match between the USA and Canada on June 2, with the final scheduled for June 29 in Barbados.
