Two-time champions India will be aiming to end their drought in ICC events during the home world cup this time. Since their ICC Champions Trophy win under Dhoni in 2013, India have failed to clinch the title, with the latest being their World Test Championship final loss to Australia earlier this month.

Last time the World Cup was held in India, MS Dhoni and his side ended up claiming the crown in 2011, making India the first host nation to win the title on home soil. Rohit Sharma will be hoping to replicate the same during this year’s campaign.
