ICC CWC 2019: Indian cricketers spent their day off at gym

Debasis Sen, Southampton: After a 3 hours long and rigorous practice session on Saturday the Indian cricket team had a day off on Sunday. Most of the cricketers were in gym to keep themselves ready for their opening clash against South Africa on June 5. Skipper Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah and a few other cricketers were there in the gym. There will be a strategy meeting at the team hotel where all the players will be present along with head coach Ravi Shastri.

If the sources are to be believed the support staffs and a few players are having a close look in the match between South Africa & Bangladesh. Though a good news is there for Team India ahead of facing South Africa as Proteas bowler Lungi Ngidi could bowl only 4 overs as he had to leave the field for hamstring injury and beside that opener Hashim Amla also isn’t fully fit. If both the players miss the next game it will be a great news for the Men in Blue. Most of the bowlers failed to bowl well against Bangladesh today as Chris Morris gave 72 runs in his 10 overs spell. The Indian batsmen would definitely try to take the advantage of the pressure which will be upon the Proteas bowlers.
