his future.

“I haven’t thought about it. I’ve just come off a game. I have no time to think about this and no time to reflect on this. Yeah, I will when I get the time to do that. But at this point of time, I was completely focused on this campaign. It was focused on this World Cup, and there was nothing else on my mind. And I haven’t given any other thought to what happens in the future,” Dravid said at the post-match press conference.

Talking about the disappointment in the Indian camp, Dravid said, “The boys are disappointed. There were a lot of emotions in the dressing room. It was tough to see them as coaches. Having spent so much time with them, I know them personally. It was tough. I’m sure the sun will come up tomorrow morning, and we will move on. That’s what we do as sportsmen. Games like these will make you cherish the highs,” he said.

Despite a dominant performance throughout the World Cup, Team India faltered under pressure in the final against Australia. Chasing a target of 240 runs, Australia delivered an all-round performance, securing a six-wicket victory. This win marked Australia’s sixth ODI World Cup title.

Although, Dravid’s contract with BCCI has been till the end of World Cup 2023, but there is still a provision for extension subject to discussions with top hierarchy in the board.
