Hardik Pandya doubtful for the game against England in Lucknow | CWC2023

Xtra Time Web Desk: Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya is unlikely to be available for Team India’s next game against England in Lucknow on October 29. He is also doubtful for the Sri Lanka game in Mumbai on November 2.

The Indian team management does not want to risk rushing him and are hoping he will be completely fit for the last two league games against South Africa and Netherlands. Hardik is recovering from an ankle injury he suffered in the game against Bangladesh in Pune. He is currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) is being monitored by the medical staffs. The medical team will wait for a few more days to let him recover at the NCA in Bangalore. He is expected to join the Indian team in Kolkata.

Hardik did not travel with the side to Dharamsala and was advised to rest by the BCCI medical team. It is now likely that he will link-up with the team before the match against South Africa in Kolkata.

The Indian team will arrive at Lucknow on Wednesday, October 25. Rohit Sharma and his boys are on a role winning all their five matches so far in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. They are the only side undefeated in the competition. The players were given a break for two days after their 7-wicket win over New Zealand in Dharamsala. They will start preparations for the game against England from Thursday, October 26.
