XtraTime Web Desk – A superb display of football at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at Goa as Bengaluru FC dominated Kerala Blasters and beat them 4-2.

Both the teams were desperate to win, specially Kerala Blasters who’s yet to win a match at this year’s ISL. Kerala started the match like that. They were creating chances and was playing some brilliant brand of football. They got the reward as well. In the 17th minute, Kerala Kerala scored the first goal from an outstanding counter-attack. Rahul Kannoly scored the goal and gave Kerala the lead.

They however couldn’t hold the lead for a long time as Bengaluru found an equaliser after a terrible mistake from Kerala’s defense. Cleiton Silva took opportunity of that and calmly placed the ball. The half ended 1-1.

Bengaluru FC got a penalty right at the second half. However, Sunil Chhetri failed to convert it as the legendary goalkeeper tried a panenka but Albino didn’t move as he saved the ball quite comfortably. 3 minutes passed that incident, Bengaluru scored their second goal Eric Paartalu put the ball behind the bars in the 51st minute. Couple of minutes later, Kerala committed another mistake as Bengaluru now scored 3 goals. This time, the courtesy goes to Dimas Delgado.

Even after losing 3-1, Kibu Vicuna’s side didn’t give up. They scored in the 61st minute as Jordan Murray gave them enough time for a comeback. Things however didn’t go according to plan. Sunil Chhetri scored his ‘due’ goal and again gave Bengaluru a 2 goal cushion. It was hard for Kerala to comeback as Bengaluru looked to control the midfield and solidify their defense.

Bengaluru won the match 4-2 in an exciting match at Indian Super League. Bengaluru are currently at 4th position with 9 points from 5 games and Kerala Blasters just has 2 points from 5.
