Former Pakistan cricketer picked KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma his best Test XI for 2021

Xtra Time Web Desk: Ex Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria, picked his best Test XI for 2021 which comprises four from India and two each from England, Pakistan, Australia and New Zealand. From the list famous Team India batsman Virat Kohli and Team India pacer Jasprit Bumrah was found missing.

Kaneria selected KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma for the opening match. Rohit Sharma scored 906 runs in 11 Tests in 2021, with two centuries and four half centuries.

Former Pakistan crickter then picked England Captain Joe Root as No.3 batsman. Root had been a magnificent batsman, performing extraordinarily in the year 2021, where he scored 1708 runs in 15 Tests at 61 with six centuries and four fifties. Kaneria then selected New Zealand’s Kane Williamson as his captain for Test XI where he score 395 runs in four Tests with two centuries and a half century.

The veteran spinner completed his middle order line up, by selecting Pakistan’s Fawad Alam, who scored 571 runs in nine Tests with three centuries and two fifty, keeping Rishab Pant as the wicketkeeper.

Kaneria picked R Ashwin and Kyle Jamieson as his two all rounders. New Zealand spinner, Jamieson picked 27 wickets in six Test Matches in 2021, whereas Team India spinner finished the year as the highest wicket taker with 54 wickets in nine Tests.

Kaneria completed his team including three pacers James Anderson, Josh Hazelwood and Shaheeh Shah Afridi, and picked Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne as his 12th man.
