Kolkata: East Bengal Club officials wait for Haitian striker Wedson Anselme at last comes to an end as the Haitian is set to join his old club Sk.Jamal Dhanmondi next week. So the Red and Gold officials are quick to find a solution.

To fill in the place of the third foreigner (striker), East Bengal officials and team management called Somide Adelaja for trials today at the Howrah stadium. As there is only few days left for the CFL to begin and the Red and Gold brigade open their campaign on the 4th of August, there is hardly any time to sign a new and unknown foreigner.

So the officials and team management quickly called him for trials today and it is expected that if coach Trevor Morgan gives the nod the Nigerian striker will sign the dotted lines within the next few days.

Somide Adelaja last played for Guwahati F.C. in the Second Division League 2015-16 where he scored 5 goals from 7 appearances. The Nigerian also had successful stints with Mohammedan Sporting and United Sikkim F.C.
