Xtra Time Web Desk: The Men in Blue was a on a role in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Rohit and his boys have registered wins in all their six matches in the competition so far. The biggest positive for the Indian team has been they are playing as a cohesive unit and there have been contributions from each member.

On the eve of the game against Sri Lanka, the focus during the practice session was hitting big sixes. Almost all the batters after finishing their turn in the nets was seen practice taking big hits. The likes of Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and Suryakumar Yadav were all seen hitting big sixes towards the end of the practice session.

Surya was seen focussing on playing sweep shots against Kuldeep Yadav. Virat too was in positive frame of mind although he was beaten a couple of times by Kuldeep. He was seen playing some aggressive strokes and looked positive in the nets.

Captain Rohit Sharma only took a few throwdowns from Raghu and Nuwan before wrapping it off. It was an optional practice session with Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin getting a rest.

The Indian team management is likely to go in with an unchanged side with both Shardul Thakur and Ravichandran Ashwin warming the benches again. A win tomorrow will see the Men in Blue sealing a spot in the semi-final.
