XtraTime Web Desk: The final of the forthcoming FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup will take place at Navi Mumbai on March 07. The tournament will start on February 17 next year and will culminate on March 07. The new schedule was released by the Local Organising Committee (LOC) and AIFF on Tuesday.
Guwahati will host the opening match on February 17. India will play all its group stage matches at Guwahati on February 17, 20 and 23.
Five cities, namely Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Kolkata and Navi Mumbai have already been selected to stage the 32 matches in the tournament involving sixteen teams.
The quarterfinals will take place in Ahmedabad, Navi Mumbai, Bhubaneswar and Kolkata on February 27 and 28 respectively. The two semifinals will be held simultaneously on March 3 in Navi Mumbai and Bhubaneswar. The all important final will take place on March 07 at Navi Mumbai.
The tournament was earlier supposed to take place in November 2020 but was postponed due to coronavirus pandemic.
