Unstoppable! Satwik and Chirag etched their name in the history by being the first Indian duo to win China Masters title in Shenzhen

By winning their first ever China Masters men's doubles title they have made this dynamic pair have made the Sunday more dynamic. For the first time any Indian duo secured this title, so for India this day is remarkable. This duo defeated China's own He Jiting and Ren Xiangyu in a captivating and thrilling three-game final infront of a packed crowd at the Shenzhen Arena.

They became runners up in both 2023 and 2025 editions of this tournament and in this year they were determined to break their jinx and win the championship. Not winning in last two times made their win this time more incredible.

But, Satwik and Chirag have shown their dominance and proved why they are champions. For the second game they rapidly changed their strategy and tactics. Satwik unleashed powerful smashes from the back while Chirag began intercepting shots early at the net. This strategic shift completely threw the hosts off balance, while allowing India to bounce back and take the second game 21-13.

The final deciding game can be demonstrated as true test of nerves. The power-packed pair India Satwik and Chirag were in a 9-11 deficit at the half and 16-17 disadvantage in the end. When the pressure was coming on very quickly, the two have remained calm and composed. When they needed a point they made it, such as when they took five points in a row to win the game and ensure an unforgettable win in 70 minutes of superb badminton. By winning this title Satwik and Chirag achieved 10th BWF World Tour title overall and their second Super 750 crown of the 2026 season. It represents their status as one of the biggest names in the game of badminton in the world.
