Kolkata: Perhaps one of the bitterest rivalries in world football- Brazil and Argentina is all set to join hands for the future development of Indian football. The history of world football has very few instances where the two super-giants actually joined hands together for the same project.

Indian football can count itself lucky, as the former Argentine Captain and Legend, Juan Sebastian Veron, is joining hands with former Dempo and Mohun Bagan footballer and ace Brazilian footballer Beto Silva to open a world-class football academy in Bengaluru. It is learned that Veron himself will come in short tours for coaching the young kids.

In fact, Beto’s company is tieing up with the top Argentine club Estudiantes de La Plata, which is currently on the top of the Argentine Primera Division. Juan Sebastian Veron is the President of the Argentine football club and he and Beto had a fruitful discussion yesterday at Dubai when the two organizations finally decided to open a top class academy at Bengaluru.

It has been decided that at the beginning, the academy will start with 100 promising kids and they will be nurtured by some top Argentine and Brazilian coaches.

If this dream project, between two of the most famed football playing countries, gets going then Indian football will be blessed with a promise of a golden future for sure.
