XtraTime Web Desk – A dramatic win for the gunners! No one gave them a chance to win but Arsenal did manage to beat Chelsea 3-1. Their first win in many matches.

Even after a very poor start, Arsenal kept their faith on Micheal Arteta. They consider him as the future and this maybe just the start Arsenal needs. Alexandre Lacazette scored in the 34th minute from a spot kick and gave Arsenal the lead. Granit Xhaka made it 2-0 just before half-time from a brilliant free-kick. Bukayo Saka made it 3-0 in favour of the gunners in the 56th minute. Chelsea however pulled one back in the 85th minute as Tammy Abraham just beat the offside line to score one. Jorginho missed a penalty in the 91st minute, else the scoreline would have been different. Even though Chelsea had the possession and created more chances but it was Arsenal who created few very good chances to score. Arteta didn’t use Aubameyang in this match but he had no problem as his team beat Arsenal 3-1 in a very crucial stage. Arsenal are now in the 14th place with 17 points from 15 games while Chelsea is at 7th with 25 points from 15 games.

Manchester United drew 2-2 with Leicester City. Both the clubs are in a good position in the table and needed a win to move further ahead but failed. Marcus Rashford put United ahead in the 23rd minute but Harvey Burnes equalised in the 31st minute. United again took a lead in the 79th minute as their man-in-form Bruno Fernandes scored again! However it was Jamie Vardy who’s brilliance kept Leicester into the game as the match ended 2-2. United are at 4th in the table with 27 points from 14 games while Leicester has 28 from 15.

United’s city rival Manchester City had a convincing victory over Newcastle United. Ilkay Gundogan scored in the 14th minute and Ferran Torres scored in the 55th minute decided the fate of the match. One factor that will keep Guardiola into some kind of pressure is Kevin De Bruyne’s form. The plan of playing John Stones and Ruben Dias is paying off but Manchester City is still not in their sparkling best. City are 5th in the table with 26 points from 14 games while Newcastle are 12th in the table with 18 points from 14 games.
