ENG vs IND: Jasprit Bumrah fastest Indian to reach 100 test wickets milestone, goes past this legend

Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India fast bowler on Monday reached the milestone of 100 test wickets on Day 5 of the fourth test match at the Oval. Bumrah took 24 test matches to take 100 wickets, which is one test less than legendary Kapil Dev.

Bumrah got rid of Ollie Pope for 2 on day 5 of the fourth Test. He went through the defence of the Surrey batsman to get him bowled. He followed it up with another gem of a delivery as he yorked Jonny Bairstow for a duck. It was his 101st test wickets.

Overall, Bumrah stands joint eighth among Indians, along with teammate Ravindra Jadeja. Ravichandran Ashwin is the fastest to the milestone having picked his 100th Test wicket in his 18th appearance.
