Internet Desk: About twenty four hours before the all important Hero I-League clash between Khalid Jamil’s Aizawl FC and and Trevor Morgan’s Kingfisher East Bengal, the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium at Mualpui witnessed an eventful morning today.

Usually, The British coach of Kingfisher East Bengal allows just the first fifteen minutes of his training to the media. Today was no exception as well as the Red and Gold officials removed all the people from media after the first 15 minutes. But suddenly, the East Bengal officials found an Aizawl FC ‘spy’ at the locker-room during the training session, who was monitoring the training and later confessed that he came from Khalid Jamil’s camp to go through the planning of the Red and Gold brigade for tomorrow’s game.

The officials made no hesitation and reported the match commissioner about the matter on an immediate effect. East Bengal manager Manish Banerjee told www.xtratime.in , “Yes, the spy confessed that he came from Aizawl FC to keep an eye on our plans and filed a report to the match commissioner straight away.”

Khalid Jamil’s team will find themselves four points behind leaders East Bengal at the top and a win would help them close the gap to a point. Coach Trevor Morgan spoke to www.xtratime.in and said, “The conditions are no doubt tough here but the team has to play in different conditions and my boys know it pretty well.” The British tactician denied to talk about any probable change in the line up and seemed focused on his next hurdle.

Coach Khalid Jamil has surprised the critics this season as his team has done remarkably well. Out of the nine games they have played, only in one fixture have they not managed to find the back of the net.

The Aizawl coach is expected to start with Albino Gomes in goal after his top-notch performance against Bengaluru FC where he saved a penalty from Sunil Chhetri. Lalramchullova, who has recovered from an injury and started in their last two outings, is expected to be the preferred right-back with Kingsley Eze and Zohmingliana Ralte as the two centre-backs. Lalruatthara will slot into the left-back role.

Defensively Aizawl has been solid so far on home soil having only conceded three goals in five games.

East Bengal is coming into this game on the back of two draws in Siliguri. Trevor Morgan would hope that his team can get their bearings right in order to extend their lead further at the summit of the I-League table.
