XtraTime Web Desk: After Jhonny Acosta, it is now turn of East Bengal’s assistant coach Carlos Nodar to threaten going to FIFA if the club does not pay his pending salaries. Most of the Red and Gold players and support staffs have not been paid salaries from last season after the club’s erstwhile investors Quess Corp decided to part ways at the end of May this year.

The Spaniard even complained about the non co-operation of the Kolkata based club during the time of lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic. Nodar is yet to be paid his salaries for the months of April and May. His contract with Quess East Bengal is for a period of two years until May 2021.
“No. I have not received my salary. My contract with Quess East Bengal is for 24 months and ends on May 31, 2021. I have to collect April, May and one more year’s salary since there has been no mutual agreement (termination) at any time. They will be notified by letter in the next few hours and if there is no agreement we will go to FIFA providing more information if necessary,” Nodar told Goal.com.

He added, “We have asked for food and water while we were in Kolkata for ourselves and my family and they never gave me an answer. I had asked for a doctor and my doctor in Spain finally had to attend me by phone. I had requested food and money and also a way to get electricity at home (during Amphan) and they did not answer many times.”

Last week, Quess Corp had issued a statement that both East Bengal and Quess are in the process of termination of contract.
