“Dubai has set me free… from lockdowns”: Sourav Ganguly enjoys time in Dubai, drives racing car

Xtra Time Web Desk: BCCI President Sourav Ganguly is enjoying his time in Dubai. Ganguly is now in United Arab Emirates along with other top board officials including BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, Vice President Rajiv Shukla, Treasurer Arun Dhumal and others to reccee the venues for the remaining matches of IPL 2021 as well as T20 World Cup. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already got the nod from Emirates Cricket Board to stage the remaining 31 matches of IPL 2021 which had to be suspended due to multiple cases among the franchises.

The BCCI President took time off from his busy schedule on Saturday to visit the Dubai Autodrome in Dubai Motor City. In a photo shared on his Instagram, the former India captain said, “Did the racing car today… it can generate unbelievable heat…”

The former India captain is a huge fan of Formula 1. He was present at the Buddha International circuit few years back to witness the inaugural Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix in 2011. Sourav’s former teammate and legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar too is also an avid follower of Formula 1.
