Internet Desk: DSK Shivajians defeated East Bengal 2-0 at the Balewadi Stadium in Pune in the I-League. Douhou Pierre and Juan Quero was on target for DSK.

Both teams started the match with an attacking intent. The home side got a great start as they took an early lead through Douhou Pierre. Juan Quero sent a pinpoint ball to Dipanda. Dipanda’s shot took a rebound off the opposite post and comes to Douhou. Douhou dribbles past two defenders and fired the ball into the goal to make it 1-0 for the home side.

DSK almost scored their second goal. Juan Quero sent a cross from the left flank. Surchandra Singh had a shot but blocked by East Bengal defence. DSK continues to be the dangerous side. Dipanda strikes the ball with his right toe and Rehenesh blocked the ball with his body.

It was one way traffic for DSK. Dipanda again missed a golden chance at the 46th minutes. He gives up chasing the ball thinking he was offside but he was onside. Ranty Martins wasted a chance to reduce the deficit as his freekick narrowly missed the target.

DSK doubles their lead in the 65th minutes. Juan Quero received the ball some 25 yards away from the goal. He curled it into the top right corner to make ot 2-0.

East Bengal started to press hard after conceding the second goal. Shylo MALSWAMTULUNGA completely missed his shot. The player tried to hit the ball with the inside of his right foot from the back door but his attempt yields no results.

Dipanda was again at the thick of the action. Dipanda blasted a shot from the left angling towards rehenesh who fisted the ball to thwart the danger.

East Bengal are currently third with 17 points while DSK lies at the bottom of the table.

In the other match Bengaluru FC came back from two goals down but couldn’t do enough to eke out a win against a ten-man Sporting Clube de Goa at the Fatorda Stadium, in Goa, on Sunday. The game ended 2-2 after skipper Sunil Chhetri struck once in each half after a freak Mascarenhas goal and an Odafa Okolie strike gave the hosts a lead.
