Xtra Time Web Desk: Cristiano Ronaldo has made his intentions clear to leave his current club Juventus. The Portugese superstar has already informed his desire to his team-mates at Turin. According to reports, Premier League club Manchester City is prime contender to rope in Ronaldo provided a few clauses are met to sign him.

City having failed to sign Harry Kane are now best placed to sign Cristiano Ronaldo, with the Portuguese forward. Even though Pavel Nedved and Massimiliano Allegri had tried to maintain calm by insisting the No.7 would stay, the mood has changed in the last few days.

Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes has been working for the past 24 hours to close a deal with Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola determined to add a centre-forward. Top of the agenda is a two-year offer from Manchester City, which is believed to be worth 14 million euros per season. But Juventus is understood to be holding out for a fee of 25 million euros to let Ronaldo go.

Pep Guardiola has already expressed his frustration in his pursuit of Harry Kane and is in need of an alternative goal scorer.

The club let Sergio Aguero go to Barcelona in the summer and only have Gabriel Jesus as a recognised striker – but even he seems happier on the flanks of late.
