Mission 2027: BCCI and CSA in Talks for High Stakes Worldcup Master Plan

XtraTime Webdesk: An excruciating heartbreak followed team India after the 2023 World Cup. Their dream of winning the cup went up in smoke. The Indian cricket team is now devising a grand plan to win the 2027 World Cup. To prepare, the BCCI and the CSA are apparently talking about hosting an ODI series just before the tournament starts.

According to a few reports, the proposed series will have a total of 4-6 ODI games. The Indian team management had specially requested this so that the players get used conditions in South Africa. As written above, they will host the 2027 edition of the World Cup alongside Zimbabwe and Namibia. Hence, playing a series there might just benefit the Indian team's preparations for this tournament.

This highly-anticipated series is likely to begin in the summer of 2027, right after the conclusion of the Indian Premier League. This development will provide an opportunity for the players to prepare before the World Cup kicks off from October and November. Facing South Africa at their home will be an ideal opportunity for India to test their squad depth and player combinations.

Both cricket boards have yet to finalize their official itineraries but those might be made official soon after both boards sign the deal.
