Abhishek Sharma’s Record Century: Yuvraj Singh Reacts, Daryl Mitchell Calls His Hitting World-Class
Even the opposition couldn't help but applaud. Daryl Mitchell called the left-hander's hitting "world-class" and described the 113 as a knock people won't forget anytime soon. Between breaking Virat Kohli's record for the most T20 tons by an Indian and winning over both his toughest critic and his rivals, Wellington belonged entirely to Abhishek.

XtraTime Webdesk: In India's third T20I against New Zealand, Abhishek Sharma destroyed the Kiwi bowlers with his unconventional batting technique and boundary-making shots. Sharma hit a brilliant century to ensure that India won the series against the Kiwis.
The left hander's innings included nine fours and eleven sixes. Within 15 balls, he completed his half-century; then he continued attacking to register a spectacular 100 off just 38 balls.
After Daryl Mitchell's unbeaten 89 pushed the Kiwis to 198/3, Abhishek and teenager Vaibhav Sooryavanshi went on a tear. They racked up 118 runs in the powerplay alone. Abhishek raced to his fifty in 14 balls and brought up his fourth T20I century off 35 deliveries, tallying 11 sixes and 9 fours as India chased the target down in 13.2 overs.
The knock left his mentor, Yuvraj Singh, leaving a playful comment online. After joking during the game that Abhishek still couldn't beat his 12-ball fifty record, Yuvraj tipped his hat once the century arrived. "And I can't make 100 off 30 or 34 balls. Well played, sir! Great innings aur apne single bhi le liye," Yuvraj posted on X, teasing his protege for actually rotating the strike between sixes while praising Sooryavanshi and number three Sanju Samson.
