Kolkata: As www.xtratime.in reported a few days ago, 32 years of age Wasim Akram on Wednesday became the new Secretary of Mohammedan Sporting Club and the team’s Technical Director Dipendu Biswas gets a new role as the Football Secretary of the Club. After getting the new role he has joined the elite class of Shailen Manna, Chuni Goswami, Satyajit Chatterjee and many others. They all played for a renowned club once and later after leaving football they again joined the club as officials.
Mohammedan’s new Finance Secretary will be Former Club Secretary Late. Sultan Ahmed’s younger son Shariq Ahmed. With this new inclusions one can easily say that the historic club is looking forward to do well on and off the field with young bloods. The duo of Wasim & Dipendu are looking to bring a corporate structure in the club and their ultimate aim is to play I-League as early as possible.
After Mohammedan Sporting Club Secretary Mohammad Kamaruddin left his chair, club President Mohammad Amiruddin arranged an Executive Committee meeting very soon. Since then there was a lot of buzz that some new faces will come in the board. Beside Mohammedan Officials, many fans club of the renowned club were looking for some change in the board. Now they are eagerly waiting to see whether Mohammedan Sporting Club can revive back it’s old glory.
