Cheteshwar Pujara scores his third ton for Sussex against Worcestershire in County Championships

Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India batter Cheteshwar Pujara continued his good form with the bat as he brought up his third hundred for Sussex in the County Championships Div 2 game against Worcestershire on Friday.

Captaining the English county side Pujara smashed 115 in the first match he played this season against Durham. Despite failing in the two innings against Yorkshire, the Sourashtra batter bounced back with a resolute knock against Gloucestershire, hitting 151 runs. On Friday, Pujara hit 136 off 189 balls with the help of 19 fours and one six.

The Indian batter added 61 runs for the fourth wicket with Australia batting star Steve Smith, who has also signed up with Sussex for a three-match stint ahead of the Ashes, starting on June 16 at Edgbaston.

Smith managed to score only 37 runs before being given leg before. But Pujara continued his good show, reaching his second consecutive hundred for the Sharks.

The form of Pujara augurs well for the Indian team as they will take on Australia in the World Test Championship final to be played at the Oval starting from June 07 to 11.
