Xtra Time Web Desk: A double strike from Kylian Mbappe saw Paris Saint German clinch a five goal thriller against holders Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter final first leg at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night. Neymar scored the other goal for PSG. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Thomas Muller were on the score sheet for Bayern. This was the first loss for the champion German side in 20 games. In another Champions League quarter final first leg clash, Chelsea registered a comfortable 2-0 away win against FC Porto at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan.

There was drama at the Allianz Arena with Choupo Moting’s header from a corner hitting the cross bar inside two minutes. Mbappe’s opener was fumbled by Manuel Neuer into the bottom corner with less than three minutes on the clock at a snow-covered Allianz Arena. Mauricio Pochettino’s side doubled the lead in the 28th minute through Marquinhos. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting pulled a goal back for the hosts 9 minutes later from Benjamin Pavard’s cross with another, from Joshua Kimmich, allowing Thomas Muller to head past Keylor Navas and level up on the hour mark. Neymar and Mbappe combined well to punish Bayern again for PSG’s third in the 68th minute, with the latter’s disguised finish inside Neuer’s near post giving the French side a sensational first-leg advantage – and three away goals – ahead of Tuesday’s second leg at the Parc des Princes.
