Champions League 2021-22 : Messi magic helps PSG seal a comfortable 4-1 win over Club Brugge

Xtra Time Web Desk : It was another normal day at the office for the Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi as he scored a brace to help his club PSG thrash Club Brugge by a margin of 4-1.


Frenchman Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring for PSG in the 2nd minute, as he scored two quick fire goals for his club at the interval of 5 minutes to help them take a 2-0 lead within the first 10 minutes of the first half. But in the third quarter of the first half all the limelight shifted towards Messi as he scored an incredible golazo with his left foot from outside the box in the 38th minute to make the scoreline 3-0 for the French club.


In the second half though, the Belgian champions played good football and scored a consolation goal, but the deal was sealed by the Argentine superstar in the 76th minute with a brilliantly taken penalty to take his Champions League goal tally to 5 goals in as many games.


In the other games, RB Leipzig sealed an unlikely win over Manchester City by the margin of 2-1 book the third place in their group and qualify for the Europa League. Also, Liverpool defeated AC Milan by 2-1 goals to top their group with 6 wins out of 6 alongside Atletico Madrid, who defeated their opponents Porto FC by a 3-1 scoreline to qualify for the last 16.
