Internet Desk: Socialite Rhea Pillai’s lawyers today rejected a demand by the counsel of tennis star and her former live-in partner Leander Paes regarding the custody on their 10-year-old daughter, during a hearing in Bombay High Court.
Pillai told the court, “This cannot be accepted,” even as her lawyer told the court, “The daughter is unwell and at this time, for the mother to not be around is just not possible.”
Justice Revati Mohite Dhere was hearing the appeal in the domestic violence case filed by Pillai against Paes in 2013.
The judge told the two parties that their daughter who is at the centre of the tussle, shouldn’t suffer because of this case.
