This accolade represents a groundbreaking achievement, as it is the first time an individual from the Indian sports administration has been honoured with such recognition.
Under Jay Shah’s leadership, the BCCI demonstrated exceptional organizational prowess by executing the 2023 ODI World Cup, a globally anticipated cricketing event. Besides his role with the BCCI, Shah is also the president of the Asian Cricket Council that conducted the Asia Cup in the build-up to the world cup. Shah has earlier served as the joint secretary of the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) before joining BCCI.
