Bangladesh seals a 9 wicket win over Proteas to clinch their maiden ODI series win (2-1) on South African soil

Xtra Time Web Desk : Bangladesh Cricket Team on Wednesday defeated South Africa in the 3rd ODI by 9 wickets on their own backyard to create history by clinching their first ever series win (2-1) on South African soil.

Being put into bowl first, the Tamim Iqbal led side bowled brilliantly to bundle out the Proteas for just 154, courtesy of Taskin Ahmed leading the attack with a fierce 5-fer (5/35).

Janeman Malan scored a decent 39, alongside a defiant Keshav Maharaj who added 28 valuable runs for his team.

Coming into bat second, skipper Tamim led Bangladesh’s chase with a swashbuckling 87 to top of their innings alongside a well made 48 from opener Liton Das.

After a steady partnership of 127 from the opening stand of the away side, veteran all rounder Shakib Al Hasan made sure to crush the Proteas by 9 wickets with a quick fire 18.
