Kolkata: Barasat’s KNC Regiment Kali Puja became a part of an ineffable evening in the 57 years history of the club with the sheer presence of Atletico de Kolkata footballers Helder Postiga and Iain Hume. Both these footballers along with Debjit Majumder and Pritam Kotal were also present at the puja mandap on Saturday to inaugurate the auspicious festival of lights.
The Atletico de Kolkata footballers got a huge reception from a thousand of fans gathered there .The players threw ATK jerseys among the fans and the excitement at that moment took the atmosphere into a new level. ATK players Iain Hume and Postiga tasted the flavour of Kaali Puja for the very first time and got enthralled by the warmth of it. Hume is having his second season of the ISL for ATK as he said, “This has been my second season for ATK but for the first time I have been a part of a great festival. So many people celebrating a festival is indeed a great feeling. It feels beautiful to be a part of it.”
Portuguese superstar Helder Postiga too felt the warmth of the festival for the first time. The ATK forward exclaimed in joy as he said, “This is a phenomenal atmosphere. The mood is quite incredible. I’m so glad that they have invited us.”
