Xtra Time Web Desk: MS Dhoni turned back the clock as he produced a vintage knock to take Chennai Super Kings into the final of IPL 2021 at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday night. With CSK needing 24 runs from 11 balls, Dhoni was its best as a finisher, scoring a 6 ball 18 to take his team home against Delhi Capitals.

India and Royal Challengers Bangalore captain, Virat Kohli took to twitter to hail MS Dhoni the finisher.

Kohli tweeted, “Anddddd the king is back. The greatest finisher ever in the game. Made me jump Outta my seat once again tonight,”

Chasing 173 for the win, CSK were off to a poor start as they lost Faf du Plessis in the first over. Robin Uthappa and Ruturaj Gaikwad added 110 runs for the second wicket to setup the platform for the chase. But there was a slight hiccup with CSK losing three quick wickets to bring DC back into the game. It was up to the CSK captain towards the end as he smashed six and three boundaries in the final over off Tom Curran to take his side home with two balls to spare.
