Kolkata: Kolkata Knight Riders team owner Shahrukh Khan was at the Eden Gardens for the first time to watch his team play against Kings XI Punjab on Wednesday. The Bollywood star made his appearance at the Eden midway through the KKR innings wearing a white T shirt along with his younger son AbRam. He waved and showered flying kisses to fans off the pitch as his team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) battled it out against Kings XI Punjab.

He was seen having a fun game with AbRam at the end of the prize distribution ceremony. Both dad and son were involved in throwing the ball at each other. Later Shahrukh said, “Abraam can be a mystery fielder because he throws the ball in front but it goes back.”

Shahrukh’s elder son Aryaan loves to play football but Abram has a loving for cricket. “My elder son plays football. But my younger one loves cricket. This is the best age to start introducing them to the sports they love,” said Shahrukh.

The Bollywood star also announced that he will be regular at Eden Gardens for the remaining KKR matches. “I love coming here. This was my first match in IPL this season. I will be regular as my shooting is over.”

Shahrukh did not accompany his elder son Aryan and daughter Sohana at the Eden Gardens. On being asked why they were not present at the match, the actor said, “My sons and daughter get tensed. But for Abraam he is too young to get used to the tension.”

He looked very happy with the way Knight Riders won the match against Kings. But at the same time he cautioned his players about not being complacent.

“We have been here long. Consistency will be the most important thing for us. Good to be at the top of the table. Out of 9 matches we have won 6. Team is playing like a family.”

Lastly he did not hide his disappointment of not seeing a full house. “I will stay here for the remaining matches. I practiced the steps. I am used to watching 80000 fans. But was a bit disappointed though to see the turnout. “

Earlier in the day, Khan had tweeted about his arrival which was also his first ‘home match’ this season.

“Practising our dance moves lil AbRam and me as we prep for our first match in Kolkata. Ami Kolkata here we come… see you all at the Garden,” SRK posted on Twitter.
