A huge question mark over Dong’s future in East Bengal

Kolkata: Uncertainty and question marks are still continuing on the future of East Bengal’s foreigners. Ranti Martins announced his exit from East Bengal yesterday. According to renowned resources, Bello Rasaq and Bernard Mendy are also set to be released by the club.

Now, Korean Do-dong-Hyun, who was a sensation for East Bengal in the CFL but failed to show his skills in the I-league is also uncertain to be retained. There are huge question marks raising over his future in the club.

Earlier, after the CFL it was said by the officials that Dong’s contract has been extended for two more years but now it is heard that there was no extension of contract officially but a mutual contract was done.

The Korean missile is still waiting for the club’s response on his contract issues. Dong said, “I am waiting for the officials to speak to me. But till now they have not spoken. I will wait for more 7-10 days and then decide on my future. ”

Meanwhile, according to some club officials, Dong’s agent is not ready to extend his contract with East Bengal as he is not showing any interest to sit with the officials and discuss on this issue. Amidst all these speculations, it will be interesting to see what happens in the upcoming 7 days. Will Dong be retained or will he leave East Bengal?

On the other hand, according to Bengaluru FC officials, Bengaluru FC coach, Ashley Westwood is being proposed by the officials for a one year extension of contract, Ashley did not reply yet but will soon decide. Earlier, it was learnt that the two times I-league winning coach was asked by the Bengaluru FC team management to work on a pay-cut on his weekly wages but Ashley simply disagreed.
