Xtra Time Web Desk: Ace India batsman Rohit Sharma is on the verge of a huge record ahead of the 4th T20I against England on Thursday at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The Hitman is just 52 runs away from becoming the second highest run scorer in the T20Is , overtaking New Zealand’s Martin Guptill. The Kiwi opener has scored 2839 runs in T20Is.

India captain Virat Kohli leads the overall table with 3078 runs. Kohli recently became the first batsman to enter the 3000-club after his match-winning 73 not out in the second T20I against Eoin Morgan’s men. If Rohit scores 52 runs, he will replace Guptill as the second highest scorer in T20Is behind Virat Kohli.

The 32 year old batsman will be eager to make an impact in the fourth T20I after having failed in the previous match. The Mumbai batsman was undone by a fast bouncer aimed at his ribs by England fast bowler Mark Wood.

England leads the five match T20I series 2-1. A win in the fourth T20I will give Eoin Morgan’s side a series win while for Virat and his boys, it is a must win game.
