Xtra Time Web Desk : The Indian Premier League has undoubtedly been the most coveted T20 franchise tournament over the the last 15 years for quite a few reasons to say the least.

And one such reason for the IPL being the tournament that it is today has been the holistic platform which it provides to players from all over the world, that includes both uncapped and experienced cricketers.

Now, especially with the T20 World Cup going to be staged later this year in Australia, the IPL has been the biggest stage for Indian cricketers to showcase their skills in order to break into the country’s World Cup squad.

Although some cricketers have failed miserably in the IPL 2022, some have performed and passed with flying colours in their quest for breaking into the Team India T20 squad. So here are 3 cricketers who could be the trump cards for Team India in Australia :

Umran Malik : The fiery 22 year old pacer from Jammu and Kashmir has been one of the most discussed name the ongoing Indian Premier League, due to his sheer talent with the ball. With the SRH pacer bowling over 150 clicks (157 kmph – the fastest) regularly, he is surely one of the biggest prospects of the IPL. With 17 wickets to his name already alongside his raw pace, the speedster could well be an asset for Team India in the T20 world cup in Australia.

Dinesh Karthik : DK has been one such cricketer this season, who has shown that age can be no barrier when someone has the sheer skill, determination and perseverance to make it to the top. Being down and out till last season, the Royal Challengers Bangalore wicketkeeper-batter has made an incredible comeback to the Indian Cricket Circuit, courtesy of playing some blinders as a finisher for his new franchise. The veteran Tamil Nadu cricketer is expected to walk in to Team India’s squad for the T20 world cup.

Kuldeep Yadav : With yet another inspiring story, Delhi Capitals’ Kuldeep Yadav has been a resurgent force this season, leading his franchise’s bowling line up single handedly, with 18 wickets so far to his name, being third in the list for Purple Cap. Being marginalized till last season, Kuldeep 2.0 could well prove to be a game changer for Team India in the upcoming T20 world cup.
