Xtra Time Web Desk: For the second time in the series tempers flared between both sides – India and England as Jasprit Bumrah was involved in a verbal duel with Jos Buttler on Day 5 of the second test at Lord’s. The incident took place after the end of the 92nd over. Bumrah was seen having words exchanged with Jos Buttler in front of on field umpire Richard Illingworth.

There were a few verbal volleys during the over bowled by Mark Wood. It seemed the England pacer said something to Bumrah, who was at the non-striker’s end while walking up to his run-up. After the over finished, Bumrah was seen saying something to Illingworth and pointing his finger at Wood. As Illingworth tried to restore order, Buttler entered the discussion and got into Bumrah’s face. What followed was a small but animated discussion.

Tensions started flowing in both sides from Day 4 after Jasprit Bumrah peppered James Anderson with short balls. Anderson after being dismissed was quite annoyed with Bumrah’s tactics and tried to tell him something while walking back to the pavilion.
