2nd T20I: Sanju Samson’s tweet sparks speculation about his chances at home ground

XtraTime Web Desk: A tweet from Sanju Samson has caught the attention of fans ahead of the 2nd T20I against West Indies at the Greenfields International Stadium at Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday. The Kerala cricketer tweeted, “Here we come THIRUVANANTHAPURAM”, which raised speculations in the social media that he might be included in the playing XI on Sunday.

Samson has been overlooked by selectors in the playing XI since a couple of the previous series. The wicket-keeper batsman has been constantly losing his place to Rishabh Pant in India’s international games. But his latest Twitter post draws speculations that he might be offered a chance in the second T20I match against West Indies. Posting a photo of himself while fielding, the Rajasthan Royals’ cricketer mentioned about his probable entry in the 2nd T20I game between Virat Kohli-led India and Kieron Pollard-led West Indies. Samson received a huge welcome from hundreds of local fans at the airport last night. The fans chanted slogans for him and wished him good luck for the 2nd T20I against West Indies.

The Rajasthan Royals cricketer came to massive limelight after hitting a century during IPL 2019.
