“We had a plan and that plan worked. Players have executed the plan perfectly with no mistakes and we deserve to win the trophy”

When inquired what is game plan was, Roca quipped, “We knew we had to control the ball and find the gaps. Mohun Bagan have really good strikers and our best form of defence was attack.

“We are very happy to win the match and everything worked according to plan as we had chalked out with the coach”, added Amrinder Singh, who was adjudged man of the match, sitting besides Roca.

Bengaluru FC and Indian National team forward Sunil Chettri who missed both the semis and finals of the Fed Cup on account of injury is delighted on the victory of this team.

On being asked about winning four trophies in four years the Indian forward said “You can never predict the future, you can never predict which trophy you are going to win but in our team we try a lot and we have been doing that since the past years and would be continuing to do that”

“Sony is a great friend and a good player, but these things happen, in the last game they won and were rejoicing and we were sad. But these things are all a part of life and he will get over this”

“Currently I am undergoing my rehabilitation. It is also great on watching the progress of the youngsters but we will all have to keep our heads down and work hard. Everyone has to work hard for Indian football from players to coaches to federation to the media”.
