Will Proteas trio of Bavuma, Rabada & Parnell be available for series decider at Bengaluru on Sunday?

Xtra Time Web Desk: The visiting South African team has huge injury concerns going into Sunday’s deciding T20I against India at M Chinnaswamy stadium. Proteas captain Temba Bavuma is still recovering from the injury he suffered after a short ball from Bhuvneshwar Kumar hit him in his left hand. He had to retire hurt and did not come back to bat. The physio of the Proteas team is assessing Bavuma’s injury and will take a final call on Sunday. Both Kagiso Rabada and Wayne Parnell are recovering and should be available for the crucial decider.

The Proteas squad reached Bengaluru on Saturday morning. They decided against having an optional practice session at the Chinnaswamy stadium.

Meanwhile, the Indian cricketers were given welcome of heroes following their triumph over South Africa in the fourth T20I at Rajkot on Friday. Rishabh Pant and his boys were treated with Gujarat’s traditional dance form, Raas Garba, while they also celebrated the victory by cutting cake.

Both teams will face each other for the final time in the ongoing T20I series on Sunday, June 19.
