Xtra Time Web Desk: In what comes as a lovely gesture, Team India wicket keeper batter Rishabh Pant handed over his Man of the Match winning champagne bottle to former Head Coach Ravi Shastri.  Pant won the Man of the Match award for his brilliant knock of 125 runs in the third and final ODI against England at Old Trafford on Sunday. And to witness it at the ground was none other than former Head Coach Ravi Shastri, who was in England doing commentary for Sky Sports in the series.

Rishabh was seen walking towards Shastri and then offered his Champagne to the former India coach. In what was a beautiful gesture from the dashing batter, Shastri too accepted the gift. In fact, former India captain Virat Kohli too offered a bottle of champagne bottle from the podium. It is no secret that Shastri and Kohli are close and have been part of the dressing room for a long time. Shastri did not take up Kohli’s offer. Few minutes later Kohli was seen showering teammate Shikhar Dhawan with the champagne, as the left hander was running for cover.

Rishabh Pant came into bat at very difficult situation when India was struggling at 72/4 and then guided India to a famous win. Rishabh Pant towards the end got aggressive as well and scored five boundaries in a single over to cap off the day that saw Team India win the series 2-1.
