How Rahul Dravid’s pep talk motivated Rishabh Pant to play a match winning knock at Old Trafford?

Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India’s wicket keeper batter Rishabh Pant’s brilliant match winning hundred should be attributed to Head Coach Rahul Dravid. The former India captain has been working tirelessly with Pant during the practice sessions in England. Dravid was seen having a long one-on-one session with Pant during the team’s practice session a day ahead of Sunday’s final. Dravid, who is now the Head Coach of the team has never instructed Pant to curb his natural instinct, which is to play strokes whenever there is an opportunity irrespective of the situation.

Pant took the cricketing fraternity by storm as he slammed a maiden ODI century on Sunday at Old Trafford in Manchester. With the series on the line, the 24-year-0ld showed maturity and skill to seal the game for India after they were reduced to 72/4.

Pant also received words of advice from another former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh on the eve of the third ODI. Yuvraj himself revealed his discussion with Pant on social media handle Twitter

Yuvraj Singh revealed that he had a little pep talk with Rishabh before the 3rd ODI. While Yuvi did not divulge any details, the 45-minute conversation seems to have worked as Pant slammed his maiden ODI century at Old Trafford to guide India to victory. Here is the tweet of Yuvraj Singh.
